Sonat Offshore Drilling
In work with Sonat Offshore Drilling (now part of El Paso
Corporation), Jay Sport aided in
the establishment of risk management action plans for floating oil
rigs in harsh environments. The plans included damage scenarios, mitigation plans,
and associated operational procedures and became the worldwide standard.
Jay ensured safety procedures were developed, validated,
and maintained for
oilrigs, their inhabitants and their support vessels in both the North Atlantic and North
Sea, while working with maritime and petroleum regulatory agencies
from around the world, including the US, Canada, England and Norway.
