Financial Services
Citibank/Citigroup
In a Global Risk Team capacity, Jay Sport helped streamline the credit
approval process and reduced customer response cycle time 95% by developing a new
model for evaluating credit risk. Improvements generated more than $24 million in annual savings
worldwide. In addition Jay Sport directed its implementation
in all emerging markets.
Jay led Citicorp business leaders from around the globe in
identifying and addressing systemic business risk surrounding the
Year 2000. These risks affected entire financial markets and
were mitigated through work with many other companies, regulatory
agencies, and organizations worldwide.
Jay ensured maximum leverage and effective utilization of
a data warehouse in support of Citibank/Citigroup's corporate credit
and risk businesses through the identification and management of
business and behavioral issues and their attendant risk factors.
Additional strategies included the design of data quality, communications
and training programs, and included re-engineering business processes resulting
in cycle time reductions of 80%.
As a member of Citibank's Global Finance Division, Jay’s work included such services as the redesign and implementation
of processes for groups of up to 600 employees in its
sales, marketing, support operations, application development and
data center operations areas. Streamlined processes increased customer
service and data accuracy in addition to allowing for decreased headcount.
Jay also designed and managed the delivery of training programs
supporting daily operations of the Global Finance Division.
Working with the Strategy, Business Architecture, and Executive
Improvement Teams, Jay developed technology and operations
infrastructure plans for Citibank's Global Finance Division.
Further, under tight deadlines, Jay delivered reporting projects
mandated by new regulatory requirements and reduced server outages
by more than 90% in a 300-user area. Strategies included conversion
and testing management, implementation of systems architecture for
marketing and operations support, and contingency planning and test
monitoring for computer based systems.
